Get to know us
In 2003, Ariane Helleman had a vision—to offer something truly unique in the Bariloche region. While boat trips, hiking, and mountain climbing were already available, there was one way to experience the wild beauty of Patagonia like never before: on horseback, just like the local gauchos. With a deep passion for horses and nature, she founded Arianepatagonia, introducing unforgettable horseback treks through some of Argentina’s most breathtaking landscapes.
As the owner and lead guide, Ariane combines her extensive knowledge of the region with her love for horseback riding, ensuring each journey is both authentic and immersive. For her, it’s not just about riding—it’s about fully experiencing the soul of Patagonia. From meeting gauchos along the way and witnessing their traditional way of life, to sleeping under star-filled skies, every trek is designed to offer a true taste of Argentina’s untamed wilderness.
Ariane is joined by a dedicated team of experienced guides and horse handlers, each bringing their own expertise and passion. Together, they ensure every guest enjoys a journey that is not only thrilling but also deeply connected to the traditions and natural beauty of Patagonia.
At Arianepatagonia, we believe in sustainable adventure, deep cultural connection, and the magic of exploring Patagonia on horseback—an experience unlike any other, and one that will stay with you forever.
